"The Holland brothers, Nate and Pat, were born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho, where their lifelong connection to Lake Pend Oreille first began. Growing up on its pristine waters, they developed not only strong athletic foundations but a deep appreciation for the lake and the community surrounding it.

Both went on to distinguished careers as professional athletes, competing as members of the U.S. Snowboarding Team on the World Cup Tour. Nate is an eight-time X Games gold medalist and three-time Olympian, recognized as one of the sport’s most accomplished riders. Pat also achieved success on the international stage, earning a World Cup podium and contributing to the team’s legacy of excellence.

Following their retirement from competitive snowboarding, the brothers returned to their hometown to pursue their shared passion for watersports. With more than 30 years of combined on-water experience and certifications as U.S. Coast Guard Captains, they bring a high level of professionalism, safety, and skill to every outing. Their commitment to the Sandpoint community and their genuine love for Lake Pend Oreille inspired the creation of Action Water Sports, where they now share their expertise with locals and visitors alike.
